Parkinson’s Disease Care at Home FAQs

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological disease, meaning it impacts the brain, with symptoms getting worse over time.

In the early stages of Parkinson’s, a person may notice a slight tremor or stiffness in their muscles. Movements can become slower, and their handwriting becomes smaller – a condition known as micrographia.

As the disease progresses, motor skills can weaken, meaning a wheelchair is often needed. Speech can become challenging, with a softer, slurred voice straining communication. Sleep, memory, and swallowing can also be affected in the later stages of the illness.

The best way to get an accurate estimate of how much your Parkinson’s care at home will cost is to give us a call.

We treat each person as an individual to ensure we’re able to provide the most dedicated, personalised care. As such, the cost of our Parkinson’s care at home will differ depending on the level of support required.

If living with Parkinson’s disease is starting to impact your everyday life significantly, it’s likely time to seek support with Parkinson’s care at home. No one deserves to struggle with the day-to-day because of complex symptoms. When you’re ready, our team is here for you.

We offer extensive, bespoke support to care for all different types of Parkinson’s disease needs. However, you can also access additional support from the NHS, such as therapy, counselling, and access to support groups.

Find out more about the additional services you can access via the NHS on their website.
