At Mountbatton Care, our night time care service provides comfort, safety, and reassurance through the hours when people often feel most vulnerable.
Whether it is regular support, a sleep-in carer, or waking night care for those with complex or palliative needs, we are here to make sure every individual feels safe, respected, and cared for throughout the night.
Types of Night Time Care
We understand that everyone’s needs are different, which is why we offer two types of nighttime care.
Sleep-in Care
A carer stays overnight in the home, providing reassurance and peace of mind. They are nearby if needed and can respond quickly should support be required.
Waking Night Care
A carer remains awake and attentive throughout the night, ready to give continuous support. This is often the best choice for people with complex health conditions or those receiving palliative care, where comfort and close monitoring are especially important.
Support we provide
Our night time carers are trained to provide both practical help and emotional reassurance, making sure each person feels safe and supported through the night. Depending on individual needs, support can include:
Our approach
At Mountbatton Care, we believe night time care should provide comfort as well as safety. We take time to match each person with a carer who understands their needs, personality, and routine, so that support feels natural and reassuring. Our carers are trained to provide sensitive help for a wide range of needs, including complex and palliative care.
Care plans are created with input from the individual, their family, and healthcare professionals, and are reviewed regularly to make sure they continue to meet changing circumstances. Above all, our approach is centred on dignity, respect, and compassion.

We honestly can’t thank the team at Mountbatten enough for the care and kindness they’ve shown to our family member living with dementia. I never wanted any carers but had to have them after breaking my leg,it was the best decision I ever made. I’ve always struggled and done things myself,I’ve always hated asking for help. My “Mountbatten carers” are an absolute godsend, they are kind, caring, they help me with everything, washing, dressing, getting up from my chair, anything I need. They do,nothing is a problem for them. I ended up in hospital again before Christmas and was diagnosed with heart failure,so now I’m dealing with that as well as all my other medical problems. I’m not steady on my feet so I’m glad when I get up I’ve got both my carers to hold on too,I can’t even carry anything as I use crutches. I rely on my carers so much mentally and physically,I don’t know where I’d be without themPosted on Debbie McAllister
